1. Who we are
SwingCoach (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides the SwingCoach iOS application and the services behind it. This policy covers the app, this website, and the processing we do to analyse your swings. For any privacy question, write to robin@dimora.no.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address, and the name Apple or Google passes us if you sign in with them. Apple's private relay addresses are supported and we never see your real address in that case.
- Your golfer profile. Handicap, dominant hand, gender, preferred language, and the coach persona and tone you choose during onboarding. This is what makes the coaching yours rather than generic.
- Swing recordings. The videos you record or select in the app, and the pose and phase data derived from them.
- Practice location, if you allow it. Location access is optional and off until you grant it. When granted, a swing can be tagged with the range or course it was filmed at so your history is browsable by place. Declining changes nothing else about the app.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app data. Device model, operating system version and app version — used to diagnose crashes and camera problems.
- Usage data. Which features you use and how many analyses you have run, in aggregate.
- Purchase state. Whether your subscription or swing-review credits are active. We never receive your card details.
3. What happens on your device
Pose tracking runs on your iPhone. The skeleton you see over your swing, the six phase boundaries, and the position checks are all computed on device from that pose data — they are geometry, not a server call. Video is uploaded for the coaching write-up, and nothing else about the analysis leaves your phone before that.
4. Why we process it
- To analyse your swing and produce phase-by-phase coaching and drills
- To keep your swing history and build your progress profile
- To run your account, subscription and swing-review credits
- To send the notifications you have opted into, including the reminder two days before a free trial ends
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure
- To improve the product in aggregate
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performing our contract with you for the core analysis features, your consent for optional things like location tagging and notifications, and our legitimate interest in security and product improvement.
5. Who processes data for us
We use a short list of providers, each only for what it says here. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Supabase. Authentication, database and video storage.
- Google (Gemini API). Generates the coaching write-up from your swing.
- RevenueCat. Subscription and purchase state.
- Apple. The App Store handles all payments, and Apple Sign In handles that sign-in route.
- Google Sign-In. Only if you choose that sign-in route.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the transfer safeguards those providers offer, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.
6. We don't sell your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your swing videos with advertisers or data brokers. Your videos are visible to you and processed by the systems listed above — nobody else.
7. Security
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Stored data sits behind per-user access rules, so one account cannot read another account's swings. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 via Apple or Google, or a password you set with our authentication provider — we never store passwords in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data.
8. How long we keep it
Swings and their analyses are kept while your account is open, because the point of a swing profile is the comparison to March. Delete a swing in the app and it goes, along with its analysis. Delete your account and everything tied to it is removed within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record — invoices, for example.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your account and your data
- Restrict or object to a particular kind of processing
- Export your swing history
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave, such as location or notifications
Email robin@dimora.no and we will answer within 30 days. You can also revoke camera, microphone, photo library and location access at any time in iOS Settings, and complain to your local data protection authority if you think we have got this wrong.
10. Children
SwingCoach is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
