1. Agreement
By downloading or using SwingCoach (“the App”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the App. If you use the App on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for them.
2. What SwingCoach is
SwingCoach records a golf swing, splits it into six phases, checks a set of body positions against reference zones, and produces written coaching and a drill. It is a practice aid. It is not a golf instructor, a physiotherapist, or a medical device.
3. Your account
Some features need an account. You can create one with your email address, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign-In. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, and old enough in your country to agree to these Terms.
4. Subscriptions, trials and credits
4.1 What's free
The App is free to download and the onboarding flow is free to walk through. Analysing swings requires either an active Pro subscription or a pack of swing-review credits.
4.2 Pro
Pro unlocks unlimited swing analysis, coaching on every phase, comparison against reference positions, a drill for your biggest weakness, and the progress dashboard. List prices are $39.99 per month or $199.99 per year. The App Store shows and charges the price for your storefront in local currency, which may differ.
4.3 Free trial
The annual plan starts with a 14-day free trial where offered. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid year. We send a reminder notification two days before the trial ends if you have notifications enabled — that reminder is a courtesy, not a condition, so it remains your responsibility to cancel in time.
4.4 Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple account settings — cancelling only there stops the renewal, and deleting the App does not.
4.5 Payment and refunds
Apple processes every payment; we never see your card details. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy, so refund requests go to Apple, not to us. Consumable swing-review credits are used as you analyse swings and are not refundable once spent. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, nothing here limits statutory rights you have that cannot be waived.
4.6 Price changes
We may change prices. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and Apple will ask you to confirm a price increase before it renews.
5. Your footage
Your swing videos stay yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display them back to you for the purpose of running the analysis and your history — nothing more. We do not use your footage in marketing without asking you first.
You agree to upload only:
- Footage of golf swings
- Footage you filmed, or have permission from the person in it to use
Do not upload anything illegal, or anything filming a person who has not agreed to it. We may remove content that breaks this rule.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the App or its APIs
- Resell access, or share one account across many golfers
- Interfere with the service, or attempt to reach data that is not yours
- Use the App to build a competing analysis product
7. About the coaching output
The analysis is generated automatically and can be wrong. Phase detection can miss on unusual footage, position checks assume a down-the-line camera angle, and the written coaching is a model's best reading of one swing — not a verdict from a qualified instructor who watched you hit fifty.
Golf is physical activity. Drills and swing changes carry a risk of injury. Use your judgement, work within what your body allows, and consult a qualified professional — a PGA instructor, a physiotherapist, a doctor — before acting on anything here if you have any doubt. We do not promise any particular improvement in your swing, your scores, or your handicap.
8. Intellectual property and third parties
The App, its design, its checkpoint engine and its content are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not transfer any of it to you. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
Player names, tours, tournaments and equipment brands that appear anywhere in the App or on this site are used descriptively. SwingCoach is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any professional golfer, tour, or golf organisation.
9. Availability and termination
We aim to keep SwingCoach running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and features may change. You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and, where you have paid for a period you cannot use, a pro-rata refund via Apple.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or golfing opportunity, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use the App after a material change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in. Questions go to robin@dimora.no.
